NGIN Minutes
June 10, 2001
Central Washington University

The Northwest Government Information Network (NGIN) recently met in June for their Spring meeting. The theme of the meeting revolved around Environmental Issues and Resources.

Also at this meeting NGIN had two positions open and elected the following people as officers for the 2001/2002 year:

Lori Ricigliano will participate as Past President for the 2001/2002 year and Ann Roselle was to move up as President for the coming year .

Ann has recently notified the NGIN Officers that she will not be able to complete her tenure as President of NGIN for the coming year. Ann has accepted a position at Phoenix College in Arizona. NGIN will surely miss you Ann.

As a result, I will move up as President of NGIN for the coming year and Arlene Weible, Regional Librarian for Washington and Alaska at the Washington State Library, will serve as President-Elect of NGIN during the coming year.

NGIN will hold its Fall meeting in October at The Evergreen State College in Olympia. In order to provide the best meeting possible, I would like to see as many people as possible fill the survey attached and return it to me no later than July 20, 2001. I would like to see as much librarian participation from Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Washington as possible. The survey won't take long to fill out.

Email the survey to: diazc@evergreen.edu

I am hoping for a very exciting year for NGIN.

If you are not a member of NGIN, go to the NGIN website at: http://www.library.wwu.edu/ngin/listserv.htm and fill out the membership form and return the $ 10 dues to Marilyn Von Seggern (m_vonseggern@wsu.edu).

I hope to hear from you very soon.
